I began my financial services career in 1980 in a Detroit-based John Hancock office. In 1992, my performance caught the attention of the John Hancock Management Division, and I was offered the role of General Agent for the Grand Rapids, Michigan office. Moving my young family to West Michigan that year was a challenge I accepted eagerly.
Beginning with only 6 agents in 1992, I formed VantagePointe Financial Group and have grown our practice to over 65 associates throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa. Throughout my career in the financial services industry, I've recognized the importance of having a unique capability team in place for continual professional growth. To position VantagePointe as a leader in the industry, my associates and I follow a unique process to ensure a superior level of customer service. I handle common industry challenges as effectively and strategically as possible, always serving my business and clientele to the best of my ability.
I have a great appreciation for the importance of serving my community. In 2008, VantagePointe Financial Group named Special Olympics as a firm-wide charity — a way to combine my passion for sports and children. Over the years, I've helped coach Special Olympics basketball games and participated in many other events to benefit these phenomenal athletes.
Born and raised in Michigan, I live in Rockford with my wife, Sharon. I'm the proud father of two children, Bryan and Lauren, and my family and I are active members of Blythefield Baptist Church.
